Marriage.  What is marriage? God set up marriage for man and woman to be helpmates and companions.  Does this necessarily mean that one of the pair will “lord over” the other?  No.  Men:  you must love your wife as God loves his people.  Wives:  you must submit unto your husband as you submit to God.  Life simplified.  As you and your spouse submit unto God all things come into alignment.  This is the only way that you and your spouse will live in harmony.  No.  Things are not always easy and the world constantly will beat upon you to not follow God’s path.  God laid everything out for a life simplified.  Genesis through Revelation not only tells but shows us through living examples how to live life simplified.

Example:  King David and Bathsheba.  King David fell in love with another man’s wife.  He committed adultry, got her pregnant, had the wife’s husband sent to the front lines of battle and in turn orchestrated his death.  Did King David pay the price for his sin?  Absolutly. But David remained in constant prayer and sought God’s will.  This helped him become a great king.  And God’s promise to David was kept as through his line came our Messiah Jesus Christ.

Have you prayed with your spouse today?  Prayer is powerful.  If you truly want to simplify your life, you truly want to simplify your marriage, PRAY.  Through prayer with your spouse you will grow together spiritually and physically.  You will become strengthened when you pray for your marriage together.  Even through out the day, when you find yourself thinking of your husband or wife:  say a prayer for them that they are having a good day and that God will give them strength and wisdom to meet their adversaries.
